Elemental Microanalysis has an updated set of soil standards, B2196.
The soil standards set now includes a new mineral soil standard that is ultra-low in carbon content, complementing the pre-existing range of soil types and elemental values.
This set of 7 soil reference materials and their current batch values are detailed below.
Our soils are prepared as finely ground powders. After oven drying grinding and sieving to the required particle size, the soil is radiation sterilized to inhibit microbiological activity. The soils are subjected to gamma radiation from a cobalt-60 source to an absorbed dose of 28-50kGy.
