Elemental Microanalysis Ltd has expanded its range of products to support coal, coke, petroleum and fuel laboratory analysis. 
The hydrogen value from the elemental analysis of these organic samples can be used to calculate a really accurate btu/lb when calorimetry is additionally used to assess fuel. 
The extended compatible product range has been developed to support users of LECO AC500 and AC600 isoperibol calorimeters.

Calibration

Calibrate and continually verify the quality of your combustion calorimetric methods. The 1g certified reference material pellets are supplied with a certificate of analysis for energy by weight in J/g, I.T. cal/g and Btu/lb.

Sample combustion preparation

Once your sample is transferred and weighed in the AC crucible it will need to be placed in the crucible holder below the oxygen combustion vessel cap.
The firing fuse wire sits beneath pelletised samples and above powder samples.
Allowance for energy generated from the combustion of the firing fuse wire within the bomb is simplified with Elementals E5012 measuring gauge. This can also be used for any residual firing fuse wire post combustion.
