Elemental Microanalysis is launching its first ISO 17034 Certified Reference Materials, following successful accreditation as a reference material producer.

ISO 17034 accreditation is the highest level of quality assurance for certified reference materials.

These CRMs have been proven through a metrologically valid procedure for one or more properties; certified with its associated uncertainty and traceability. This “uncertainty” includes all sources of error involved in certifying a standard that has adhered to strict manufacturing or processing requirements to maintain the integrity of the reference material.

Gaining accreditation to ISO 17034 provides international confidence in the reference materials being certified at Elemental Microanalysis.

The first batch of new ISO 17034 CRMs – cystine in 1g and 5g sizes, and sulphanilamide in 1g and 10g sizes, have the certified values for carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen and sulfur (%w/w), CHNOS shown below.

Further ISO 17034 CRMs will follow to expand the range, including acetanilide (1g, 5g), aspartic acid (1g, 10g), atropine (1g, 10g), BBOT (1g, 5g), EDTA (1g, 100g, 50g, 500g), methionine (1g, 25g) and urea (1g, 10g).
